The final few sessions of my TESOL term have imposed upon me dramatic demands of my time. I saw a sign that I guess was supposed to keep people's spirits up during the mostly rainy months in Vancouver between September and September. It said "let a smile be your umbrella". In which I rekindle an old flame
I hadn't gotten baked and wandered around Stanley Park in a long time, but had the enormous pleasure of doing so this afternoon with Vaguhn, his roommate, and a group of Roommate's friends. Man, what an awesome place that park is. If I ever have to be raped and murdered in a secluded, semi-forested region of a large city, I hope it's in Stanley -

I had a dream last night that my mother caught me slumming at the Savoy Pub in the Downtown Eastside- an establishment I never have and never intend to patronize -and told me she was disappointed that I'd become "a fat alcoholic" since she last saw me (which wasn't even a month ago, so that's a long way to fall!). For the third time this week (and it's only Tuesday, you know!), someone's commented that I really ought to get some lotion for my hands. I don't mind an acquaintance offering the occasional "helpful" suggestion, but when it's on a daily basis and it's so damn glaringly obvious, I get a little irked.
