I need book recs. I'm out of the loop, because I haven't gone book hunting properly in years, and mostly just pick up whatever looks interesting now and again. I want something long and juicy, in the vein of Gone With the Wind. Stuff like Penny Vincenzi or Philippa Gregory's books. Nice big family epics, historical romances would be nice.

Blegh. Insane things is happening in LJ land (read the comments). AGAIN. LJ has begun deleting (without warning as they are supposed to) users. These users are artists who posted some adult drawings of underage Harry Potter characters (or so I believe) and this seems to be the reason for their deletion.

• I can't stop singing that Voodoo Child song that played at the end of The SOund of Drums. When I first saw it, and that song started and the Master was jiving, I was like WTF?!
