Here come the drums.
- I can't stop singing that Voodoo Child song that played at the end of The SOund of Drums. When I first saw it, and that song started and the Master was jiving, I was like WTF?! But in hindsight, it's totally awesome. It's perfect for the Master, he's so sadistic and he loves to laugh when people are dying, and this made the audience laugh as people were dying, even though we didn't mean to.
- All day Sunday I was tapping the drum beat that the Master's been hearing. I seriously couldn't stop.
- I don't want them to kill the Master. I mean, they couldn't really anyway, because he's just regenerate. I want him and the Doctor to come to some sort of arrangment, or something, I don't know. I'd just love to have Simm!Master back in the future.
- My God, if I didn't know that the Rosefen were shallow before then I do now - I've seen some of them bitching about the "ugly" old Ten we had at the end of TSOD and how they would categorically stop watching the show if the Eleventh Doctor was old and not hot.
- Speaking of that most idiotic part of fandom, I am so very tired of them continuously trying to pick apart Martha's character and forcibly make her less brave, less loveable, less everything than Rose. Now Martha's ultimate act of greatness, her leaving the Valiant to save the world and her 'I'm coming back' line, are even being used against her. Apparently, the audience is being "forced" by RTD into thinking the character is better than Rose, because Martha's gone off to save the world, whereas Rose would have stayed with the Doctor. *sigh* Well yeah, that is what Rose would have done, what of it?
- This has been bugging the hell out of me. WHAT ARE THE TOCLAFANE? Why didn't they tell us or at least give us a clue? They sounded like the Gelth, but apparently that's because they were voiced by one of the Gelth voices. But the fact that they talk and sound like children, the Master called them 'kids' and he told the Doctor it'd break his hearts if he told them who they were, suggests that the Toclafane are Time Lord children somehow, that have been changed, physically obviously, and mentally by the sounds of it too.
- I've gone into Harry Potter obsession mode. I already did my run through with the books in preparation for book 7 and today I've been doing a HP film marathon before Order comes out. I'm still only on Chamber of Secrets. I'm itching to get to 3 and 4, which are the ones that are actually good. ;o)
- I'm going on holiday on the 14 of July! I'll be back on the 21st, the day book 7 is released. I'll probably be too jetlagged to bother going to get the book.
