No Dancing at a Wedding Reception?

First, I originally posted in a panic about the awol caterer. Thank you guys for all of the helpful suggestions! We actually found a caterer! I sent out about 10 inquiries to various local vendors. Of the e-mails I sent, I got a few bites. We almost went with one caterer but were uncomfortable with the fact that the kitchen is not public despite the claim that they are licensed. Also, she did not invite us to her place of business to discuss the details.

We found a different one who is a good bit more pricey BUT we met with her and we can see her kitchen. She has me worried about us not making an effort to have dancing. We will have music (I LOVE my coworker for giving me a CD full of good music!!! Seriously! He rocks so much!) and a decent sound system. Have any of you guys been to a wedding without dancing? Are you going to have dancing? If not, what are you planning for entertainment?

As a side note, my fiance and I nearly got into a bickering fest when we met with her. He's adamant that the reception will NOT be any longer than 1.5 hours. I know we have talked about this before. At this point, I figure he'll be able to deal with it if it goes over 1.5 hours. I told him that we will have food/alcohol and there will be family who haven't seen each other in years. He's still pressed that it will only be 1.5 hours.
