We were supposed to go to Columbus for the day, possibly overnight but I didn't feel so well this morning. Since I had no idea how I would feel the majority of the day, it's been postponed. Instead, I picked up breakfast and we decided to go to Sam's Club and to the Capitol Market. We've done this, the past few Saturdays and I have come to ( ... ) -

I had surgery last week. It wasn't anything major but after the experience I had with a surgery in August, I seriously did not want to go through it again. Then, I woke up with an excruciating headache and I was very emotional. They told me it was a "caffeine headache". No, I know what that feels like. I could not eat that day. I could only ( ... ) -
Funny Story
When my maternal grandma was sick, my mom was at the hospital a lot with her. Since my sister and I were in junior high/high school, we just stayed home with my dad. Since I had a growing interest in cooking, I wanted to make him his favorite - a cheesecake so I asked him to pick up a mixer:

It's been a year!
I really should update more often but, really, life is life. We went to Pocahontas County for our one year anniversary. It was great!
Day One: Arrived to the "cabin" and was surprised to see it wasn't actually a cabin but more like a condo. It was on the river, so that won some points. To our dismay, the only "grill" was a fire pit outside. ( ... ) -

Since we are replacing the built in microwave, we are finally painting the nasty kitchen. By nasty, I mean we are painting over the blood red and brown. The last owner was lazy and just painted around appliances and such ( ... ) -

Managed to clean up the house a bit, will do some more tomorrow. I made the breakfast casserole for tomorrow morning and, on a whim, decided to invite my dad over for breakfast and he accepted! Yay! So, I will probably serve cinnamon rolls and maybe fry up a bit of bacon with breakfast ( ... ) -

I am procrastinating. I really should be cleaning in preparation of our dinner tomorrow. Who knows if my sister will show up ( ... ) -
Christmas Chaos!
This weekend was rather busy. Friday, I went out to dinner with several coworkers and our SOs. Oh my, we had such a blast! Our "clique" is such a hilarious bunch! Chris was rather reluctant to go despite the awesome things I have had to say about them. Needless to say, 2 1/2 hours later, he agreed that they are an amazing bunch of people ( ... ) -

I hate straightening up the house. I loathe it. Why? Because I am not a good organizer. However, I love deep cleaning. I probably wipe down the cabinets more often than is necessary. I just adore the smell of cleaning supplies & knowing that everything is cleanDoes that mean the house is always clean? Absolutely not. Working 40 hours a week ( ... ) -

Aside from getting the kids a few more things, we just have his sister left! Yay for getting all Christmas shopping done before November!
