I was thinking the other day that I distinguished "anxiety" from "stress" thusly: Stress, at least as I experienced it in the months leading up to my move, makes me aggressive and want to take it out on other people. I'm no longer going to Burning Man. I had originally been planning not to go due to the expense and needing to wrap stuff up at work. Then I got an offer to fly in on a friend's small plane on the Saturday of the Man Burn and just hang out for the weekend, maybe 48 hours on the playa tops; my friend had a spare ticket to sell me.
