Chris's daughter Beth was in a bad car accident today.  Her neck is broken... a couple of vertebrae in her neck are crushed, actually.  A couple of broken ribs, a punctured lung, and a laceration from the top of her head to the outer corner of her left eye.  She is in surgery right now to replace the crushed neck bone with titanium plate.   If this ( Read more... )

Today is the day... Triple Bypass Surgery.   They plan to take him at around 2:00 pm. 

At 6:15 am Friday, my phone rang.  it was mom.  My mom rarely calls, and never in the morning of a work day, unless something is seriously  wrong.  My first guess was that my grandmother (her mother) who is nearly 90 and quite frail, had become seriously ill, or had died.  I was wrong.

Work has been rough recently.  I had an interview about two weeks ago for a job I really wanted.  Last night, I found out I didn't get the job.

 Last night we went to see For The Bible Tells Me So, a movie which is making the rounds here at various churches and theaters.  The writer/director is local to this area and he personally is showing it and doing Q & A sessions after.  So last night we went to the showing at the Allen Theater in Annville.
