Last August I took a few photos of the typical 5-story residential building in Alytus. Then this house was still overgoing renovation process. In October or November renovation works were finished:

The center of Alytus was rather artificially developed in around the central park in 1985-1990. And since the economic and legal basis changed significantly after 1990 the initial plans remained not relaized fully. But today we will make a short walk in this part of the town:

It is rather difficult to talk about Alytus. There are no outstanding architectural monuments in this town. As I said in one of my earlier reports modern Alytus is mainly the product of 1960s - 1980s. But that's not all.
