Today I want to come back to one of my favorite topics - the renovation of older buildings and improvement of their energy efficiency characteristics. In few reports I want to look at the some results of 2011. Of course the results aren't trivial.
Today my first report from the trip to Arles. Our trip to this town went not as was planned initially and I was forced to speed up the visit :) Today some of the most famous antique monuments of Arles:
I am continously observing the ongoing process of insulation of older buildings here. Thing is very good and I am sure that will have long term effects. But some insulations are at least interesting. E.g. last week the nsulation of several walls in the old town Kaunas started:
Jonava is quite big district center located about 30 km north-east of Kaunas. It is the town of the size of Utena (about this town I am posting several reports in these weeks). Jonava is industrial town and lack the traditional sightseeing places. Even more the center of Jonava was built using traditional commieblocks in the 1960s and 1970s. I

Summer is approaching the end ... I don't like the Autumn and the end of the summer isn't joyfull time to me. Anyway we need to find something positive in it also. And I found the reason - there will be fewer such views that were present in every places of our town this summer:

recently I had occasion to visit Kaunas district Šančiai (it's lower part). This district is one of the two oldest working class districts in this town. It's formation began in the middle of XIXth century and the "brand" of "proletaric district" it maintained well to the end of XXth century. The development of the district was always very chaotic
