The aorta-pulmonary-arterial bridge that's great (and necessary!) in the womb but rather double plus ungood in neonates is finally closed!  This is what we have been waiting for!  Great work Son!  No more heart defect!  Yay!  No heart surgery!  Double Yay!   They put another tube in his chest because the other one got gunked up.

Baby Xerxes is coming today!  Tauna's having a C-Section in a couple hours! (for complicated medical reasons)  I am totally freaking out!

So, Tauna's been in the hospital over a week now.  She briefly had a private delivery room with a little more privacy, but they needed it because they had a rush of births and sent her back to the Intermediate care unit with it's shared bathroom and curtain separated spaces ( Read more... )

First of all, Tauna is at 20 weeks today! I would say she's half-way, but we know that mathematically from conception that's not entirely accurate. Friday we have a sonogram, and we get to find out the baby's gender!
