Hospitalization

As some of you may know, and many of you do not, Tauna (
indigo_eris) was admitted to the University of Maryland Medical Center (Labor and Delivery section) Tuesday because of high blood pressure, and weak kidney function, including protein in her urine.  These are potential signs of preeclampsia, a very serious condition I don't have time to link to.  They've fiddled around with all her medications, and have had her on very close observation.  She's had to drop her blood-sugar medicine and cut some of the protein out of her diet.  She's seen many, many doctors, including nephrologists over the last four days and we've been having to deal with the fact that Baby X. will be preterm.  The longer Tauna can go without having to deliver the better.  She's only at 25.5 weeks!  We have no idea how long she's going to be in the hospital.

Wish us the best.  This has been/is/is going to be tough.
