Toonami surprised me with an April Fools' Day unannounced rejiggering of its schedule; even my cable guide doesn't know what's going on. It was only an accident I was watching the channel at midnight since usually I don't head to Toonami until 12:30 a.m. when Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans comes on since I hate JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. I really wish someone else on my f'list was following the Trinity Blood manga, because I'm dying to discuss volume IX's "Gunmetal Hound" chapters with someone. I love Tres, but "Gunmetal Hound" turned my brain inside out.

Volume VII of Trinity Blood isn't a favorite, but I'm still enjoying this version better than what the anime did with this arc. Much less getting moony-eyed over one another and far more of the Empire's culture and class systems. I've been pretty disappointed with Samurai Champloo lately. "Elegy of Entrapment (verse 2)" was much better than verse 1 but still lacked something. Though Jin not knowing if the old man was some kind of hidden master teaching him or just a nutty old man toying with him was fun. Meanwhile, "Cosmic Collisions" struck me as pointless.
