Alas, when I watched my taped adult swim shows this morning, I was unimpressed. I though last week's Naruto was a step back in the right direction (especially given my appreciation for the brighter light shone on the complex sis Haku), but this week's just seemed like two dull fight scenes, one of them interminable. Fullmetal Alchemist had the Flame Alchemist and his posse filler episode that I hated, which I seem to be alone in fandom about. It had some amusing moments but was really unnecessary. We didn't even get the full version of the Flame-ified show commercial, just the intro and then "Ready Steady Go." I don't understand why Samurai Champloo's two-parter about Mugen's past bored me so much, even though I'm amused that Jin announces even to other people that Mugen is his alone to kill. I already saw The Boondocks episode involving the ho. I can't get into the Ghost in the Shell series at all. (When is Fooly Cooly coming back? The last preview suggested it was nearing its finale.) I really enjoyed last week's s-CRY-ed, where everyone seemed to be coming into their own, but this week
just seemed like "we fight our enemy, our enemy changes and comes back," lather, rinse, repeat. And Kazuma and Ryuho's destiny is to wear really goofy looking body armor? At least Cougar isn't dead after all.
