Yesterday (on my day off), I had a request to shoot a photo in the library that went to my boss. Through e-mail, he asked me to plan on taking care of this request on Thursday or Friday of this week. Because of that, I took my camera and tripod with me to work this morning.

Even though I was smarting over the money I had to spend this week to get my car brakes fixed, I decided to spring for another, less urgent repair. I called yesterday to get an estimate on having my windshield replaced. I found out it would cost a little over $200 and that they could get it done as early as today. I chose to get it over with. In photo school, it was told to me that it is traditional for artistic photographers to make a self-portrait about once a year. I like that idea, but I haven't been industrious enough to do it every year. I guess I don't feel that I've changed that much in the last few years to need to make a new one. I had a pretty nice weekend. I didn't do much on Friday. My Cooley peeps were busy preparing for final exams and I didn't feel like going to the movies or anything like that. Instead, I drove out to the lake to take a few pictures of my car. I ended up going to bed early.
