I had a pretty nice weekend. I didn't do much on Friday. My Cooley peeps were busy preparing for final exams and I didn't feel like going to the movies or anything like that. Instead, I drove out to the lake to take a few pictures of my car. I ended up going to bed early.

I forgot to mention that I had a great time at the Festival of the Sun last weekend. Unfortunately, I can't say that I had more fun than last year. It was still a great time, but not so much as before. For one thing, I think the attendance was a little lower than previous years. (The Friday night festival was well attended, though.) At long last, the a day I've been waiting for since June of last year is finally here. Today is the Festival of the Sun down in Old Town. I'll be leaving to go in about an hour. So far, so good. This has been a rather pleasant Friday and I'm hoping that it will stay that way. For starters, the weather was just a little bit nicer today; a welcome respite from the sticky heat earlier this week. Temperatures cooled off a few degrees so that it only peaked in the low 80's this afternoon. The humidity seems to have abated too. ( Read more... )

I had a busy weekend. After work on Friday, I went to check out the jazz festival in downtown East Lansing. I was a little wary because scattered thundershowers were forecasted.
