Hit the road this morning from Evanston, WY, only to be confronted by signs that said I-80 closed from Laramie to Cheyenne. It was quite nice where we were so we weren't sure if it was weather-related or what. We kept driving.

I found out today that I made the cut-off date for receiving an annual bonus for this fiscal year. Sweet. Anything I receive will be taxed at the "we-want-it-all-up-front" rate, as well as pro-rated for only 5 months out of 12, but hey, it's called a bonus for a reason. As far as I'm concerned, it's like found money if/when it shows up.

So we ordered a POD for today and they delivered it first thing this morning. The only problem is that there was moisture inside -- kind of a big wet spot on the floor. We had gorgeous weather on Saturday and Sunday and made over $700. Got rid of a lot of stuff. When we cleaned the last few days since then, we found a whole lot more to get rid of, so we'll be doing another sale this weekend.

We were up all night last night trying to get ready for the garage sale today, but we checked the weather before bed and it said thunderstorms all day, so we went to bed planning to scrap the idea and just do it Saturday ( Read more... )

What's up with the weather? It poured almost the whole way home yesterday, it was dreary and mostly miserable all day today, and it's pouring again right now.
