worst garage sale ever....so far
We were up all night last night trying to get ready for the garage sale today, but we checked the weather before bed and it said thunderstorms all day, so we went to bed planning to scrap the idea and just do it Saturday.
Got up with the girls. No rain, but overcast. Totally exhausted with only 2 hours of sleep. W was up not long after and talked to our neighbor Sandy who is also doing a garage sale this weekend.
Long story short: we put up no signs, got some rain, spent the day essentially prepping for tomorrow, got one customer (referred by Sandy) plus a neighbor who bought something for $10. Although we weren't really "open" today, we were officially selling things, so this goes down as the single worst (i.e., least productive moneywise) garage sale day I've ever had.
Here's hoping that it's fantastic weather tomorrow as predicted and that some signs yield some big results for us. We really need good weather because we have so much crap to sell that we have to be able to put some of it outside.
