I found out today that I made the cut-off date for receiving an annual bonus for this fiscal year. Sweet. Anything I receive will be taxed at the "we-want-it-all-up-front" rate, as well as pro-rated for only 5 months out of 12, but hey, it's called a bonus for a reason. As far as I'm concerned, it's like found money if/when it shows up.

We got our federal tax refund today! We've been waiting and waiting for it to show up in our account, but they sent us a check instead. Not that surprising since our tax preparer checked the box that said send us a check without asking us, so we had to cross it out and change it and initial the changes, and yadda yadda yadda.
