These looks amazing! I'm sure they were also quite delicious -- your sister is one lucky bride. Could you post some recipes? Say, the Nanaimo bars?

Also, what is the significance of the thimble-y thing on the cupcakes and the cake?

Haha, those are pears. Marzipan pears are a little harder to make than we anticipated. The theme of the wedding was "The Perfect Pear".

Let me see if I can't dig up that recipe. I think that I nabbed it from Bryanna, but I think that it was in one of her vegan-feast newsletters (which I feel bad reposting recipes from). Either way, all the recipes are at home, so any of them will have to wait until later. :)

A quick google search returns Julie Hasson and Sarah Kramer doing Nanaimo bars. The recipe is definitely a little different than the one that I used, but it still looks pretty similar. I think the biggest different is the middle layer. I will consult with my recipes at home and get back to you. But to start, if you are curious ( ... )

The recipe is essentially my grandmother's, with earth balance (sticks, lots and lots of sticks... they bake better than the tubs) instead of dairy butter ( ... )

Ooh, you will also want to not over bake these. That cooking time is probably closer to about 1 hour, given that it is a 1/2 recipe. We kind of go by look now, but I usually set a timer for about 45 minutes and then just keep an eye on it (totally not helpful, I know, sorry!)

Now comes to comment:
If I ever have a wedding, well you make desert? XD

Really though, that's just gorgeous and I actually want to eat the pictures.

Haha.

Vermont isn't quite that far from where I live, but I think that it is just far away to make it not work.

Though, if you decide to get married in Canada (specifically, near Montreal or Cornwall), we can talk ;)
