The past two days I've woken up around 8:15 and gone to bed a bit before 2am. I've both days sent out resumes within minutes of waking up, before breakfast even. I have then talked on the phone with people, and yesterday drove to Fort Worth to talk with a recruiter. I've got a real face to face interview already set up for Monday thanks to ( Read more... )

Last night was sad. I went to Ben's for the last time. It was really, really crowded. I saw people there that hadn't shown up in a couple of years, and I saw people that I may never see again. Well, maybe not... but definitely my last at Ben's. Next Thursday they won't be open. The crowd was big and somewhat maudlin. I sang American Woman first (because it was the 2nd song I ever karaoked, and I didn't want to do Lump) and then Bittersweet Symphony at the end of the night. MusicalAsh did Walking On Sunshine. Saturday will be sad.

Last night I won my first $100 cash prize for singing. I've done $50 several times at Ben's, but this was $100 cash-money at Champps. Plus I had some people at the bar buy drinks for me since they wanted to encourage me to get back on stage again.
