This isn't supposed to be my weekend update, written on Thursday. Work has been quite busy though, and my evenings filled up this week with some lovely time spent with liberalryan last Monday, handling some emergency babysitting for dramy on Tuesday, and a long choir practice last night.
In addition I've started up my new workout plan. It consists of 4 rotating workouts done with one every 2 or 3 days. Tuesday night before I went to take care of dramy's lovely tyke I ran to the gym and did this bit of insanity:
- 6 sets of 6 reps, 135 lbs, squats (30 sec rest between sets)
- 6 sets of 12 reps, 85 lbs, squats (30 sec rest between sets)
- 3 sets of 6 reps, 85 lbs, jump squats (30 sec rest between sets)
- 1 max press squat (215 lbs for me at this point in the workout... and just barely)
- 3 supersets of 15 reps (for each leg), Bulgarian split squats and barbell weighted step-ups (30 sec rest between sets)
- 2 supersets of 20 reps, weighted reverse crunches and weighted Swiss ball crunches (25 lbs)
It took about 45 minutes. Then I showered, ate, and went to watch a very sleepy 2 year old. She slept. I read and worked on a website. It was awesome. ;)
After that redjohn and herselph and I all met up at the Cavern for a karaoke night of "Sing stuff you've never sung before". They kept me out late. I enjoyed myself thoroughly but didn't get to sleep until almost 2. Yesterday came early and my legs hated me.
Last night I was really close to dead. I went to church choir and got guilt-tripped into doing 1 song at the British Rose on the way home. It is less than 2 miles from home and in between church and my house or I wouldn't have stopped. I kept the Tuesday theme going and did "I Want You Back", the Jackson 5 song. Amazingly, it didn't suck. I think I'm going to keep it.
And then I went home and collapsed. This morning on the way into work I realized that I needed to post a quick update before I dove deep into work. So here it is gentle readers. Have a great day.
