I've had a couple of friends ask me about a fully stocked bar and what that really means. What it basically means is that you have the basic ingredients you need to make all of the basic drinks someone would want. It doesn't include all of the specialty liqueurs. but that's actually ok. kingwamba and I went out for dinner and an after-dinner martini to just talk about life and stuff last night and we discovered that Martini Ranch in the Quadrangle is now Margarita Ranch. On Wednesday night I got to go to a very cool little bar with kruckegirl called IV (pronounced Four) Lounge in Uptown for a wine tasting. I have wine tasting notes that I'll post later. What to do with the bottom shelf.

They've asked me to write 4 or 5 more on whisky cocktails as well as the whisky reviews. I have no deadlines for this, so it may take a while, but I have a few drinks selected for a scotch article already.

I don't think I mentioned it, but I got my first whiskey review published a few days ago. Johnnie Walker Swing is a personal favorite, and I got to make it my first reviewed Scotch.

I'm doing research for an article that I'm going to write on "that stuff you hide under the bar".
