IV Lounge
On Wednesday night I got to go to a very cool little bar with kruckegirl called IV (pronounced Four) Lounge in Uptown for a wine tasting. I have wine tasting notes that I'll post later. The real highlight (aside from the company) was the bar owner was there. And he makes his own infusions for his drinks. So the blueberry mojito was amazing, as was the almond caramel martini.
The decor is very chill. Think of a private lounge in Spain or Italy and you get the decor. (kruckegirl said that it felt like being in a harem, but I thought that the distinct lack of eunics and the ratio of men to women made that a bit of a stretch.) The drinks are among the best I've ever had anywhere. The owner is very nice and chatty. I have to write this place up for cocktailatlas. As soon as travellady gets back to Dallas then we'll have to run over. But in the meantime, if any of you get a shot, check out IV Lounge.
