It's been a crazy couple of days. A good kind of crazy - but as it was crazy, I had to put up with some weird stuff along the way.

Saturday morning I was finally feeling up to doing something I'd been planning on for weeks - joining some of my co-workers on one of their boats to go on a BMO Boating Adventure. I wasn't over my sickness yet but I would've been well enough to work and have fun - and I felt the fresh sea air would be good for me. And I was right.

I just re-applied to be an Olympic Torch Bearer, this time through the iCoke website. So here's hoping I get it. Only 4500 Canadians will get the chance so I'll have to be pretty lucky to be one of them.

In keeping with that, here's a torch bearing commercial that RBC was putting out to promote the torch relay. It's kinda cute.

Early this morning, a Taco Del Mar was destroyed by an explosion - one so large it absolutely wiped out the Starbucks and a clothing store next door, and took out windows across the street as far as six storeys high in a nearby hotel ( Read more... )

Did you know that there is a new Monopoly game being made? That's nothing new - there's so many monopoly games out there already, with almost any pop culture theme imaginable. But this new version being made is a global Monopoly - as in, each "street" is being replaced by a city on the globe. The coolest part about it is that everyone in the world ( Read more... )

This morning, the three mascots for the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics were released. You can see them all here. All I can say is - hmmm. They're definitely cute and very anime-styled, and that doesn't bother me - but the fact that two of the three mascots are hybrids (a bear/killer whale and a whale/thunderbird/wooly-thing) is kinda lame.
