I had a revelation last night, when I received my notice from the IRS of the Economic Stimulus Act of 2008.  I used to wonder what the hell they were thinking, but now I know.

It says something about the tenor of the Republican primary race that Fred Thompson can just jump in the race and immediately shoot to the lead.  May I remind you all, a Thompson has already entered -- and exited -- the presidential race!
