Virgin Galactic just released their plans for Space Ship Two, including a high-level flight profile (warning: 5MB image). It will apparently have an open architecture, as well.

Comcast just announced that they begin rolling out 160Mb/s internet access next year. It's based on the DOCSIS 3.0 spec. As the article states, at that rate you could download Batman Begins in HD from On-Demand in under 4 minutes. According to the spec, the maximum usable speeds are 152Mb/s down and 108Mb/s up.
