Spent the day at the cat show (working, not showing either of 'the boys') and had some time to take a few photos. (I am still trying to improve my ability to take photos of cats being judged in halls where the lighting isn't great, without the flash. It looks like it might be a long process.)

Out in the sun in the late afternoon. The cats like to snooze on the warm concrete and since by then it's in the shade I often sit out there with them.

Went to see one of the cat club's life members yesterday as I'm doing up a booklet on the club history for the upcoming 60th Jubilee show. As well as lots of photos of days gone by (and cats gone by) there was a queen there with some young kittens. Went to visit my neighbour's neighbour (that is, somebody who lives on the other side of the big, big property on one side of us) who shows cats and has a very nice collection. ;o) What's more, all FIVE cats get along - and I can't get my two to do more than tolerate each other. My cat-friend and secretary of the local cat club invited me around to see the Persians and Exotics she breeds. What an awesome set up and there are some lovely cats there, but my favourites were the two bicolours - a tortie bicolour called Molti and a blue bicolour called Mystic ( Read more... )

Yesterday we had a visit from Rosie, a Birman who was out by herself for a walk down the court. Her owner eventually came to find her but by that time round little Rosie had been right through our house investigating everywhere.
