Bloomin' Cat!

Mar 06, 2014 11:32

I went a different route on my walk today and as I turned into the main street outside our little 'court' I saw a white-bodied, brown-legged cat crossing the road up ahead.

Luckily there were no cars. The street is often absolutely empty but occasionally there can be a bit of traffic as our first Ragdoll Gino discovered to his cost. This time is was Gino's replacement, Sam, who was trotting quite casually back to our side.

When he turned up at the ranch-slider for his afternoon snooze on the desk beside me I gave him a big talking to; told him that if he carried on like that we would be having him cremated (because we can't keep burying cats in the front yard) and burying his ashes under his favourite cat mint plant. For my efforts to make him see the risks he was running I got a very smoochie head-butt.

When I told Gary about the 'incident' Gary told Sam that we knew where we could get a replacement! Again Sam couldn't have been less impressed.

As my neighbours said, he's probably been doing it for the last few years - but it's the first time I've seen it happen. Bad Sam!
