New-to-me author Jessica Day George was a bit of a discovery.

I'm keeping the last three books in Elizabeth Peters' Vicky Bliss series because they are where Schmidt comes into his own and is awesome.

The Margaret Foxe title has some of 'those' issues I have with steampunk but read really well (though very much a romance plot) so I've bought the next one.

The Lyn Viehl titles (I've also read the third but finished in March so it will be in the next reading report) were one of those cases of the plot that has everything - steampunk, alternate history, magic, immortal race (Atlanteans?), Merlin, and time travel, but still managed to be readable and even enjoyable. But - really? Who needs all of that to make a story work?
