I was completely addicted to soap operas (I learned from my mom) from age 9 to age 16. Once I missed a whole summer's worth of episodes, I kind of lost interest, but while I was watching every day, I just died if I missed a single episode. When I was growing up, my mom always explained to me how important it was to her for me to be able to go to college. Her dad made plenty of money, but refused to help her with her college education at all, so she worked and got loans and put herself through a four year degree in three years by taking overloads. Though I plan to be a stay-at-home-mom for a couple of years, probably until our second, not yet conceived child has started school, I would like to go back to work at some point.
