Note to self: When making blueberry "cupcakes" (muffins) with Ben, pour the milk into the measuring cup over a separate container. That way, if he bumps you while you're pouring and a bunch more milk splashes out, it does not go in the recipe, causing the muffins to turn into heavy, thick, gooey pancakes that won't rise or get brown ( Read more... )

When my husband and I were young and carefree, we dreamed of all sorts of really creative ways to make money. We had a cousin who lived in Alaska for the summer and worked in a cannery, which was kind of lame, but she earned a lot and was able to see Alaska - room and board paid.
