LJ withdrawals
My two month old computer decided to stop working. The mouse scroll pad won't respond. The keyboard works, but it's really hard to go online with a frozen mouse. So I'm on my mom's computer. Very temporarily. She would like to use it.
In brief:
Saw Juno. B+ It was cute, funny in places, slightly upsetting, slighly sad, but mostly just OK. I'm not sure what all the fuss was about.
Went to an API meeting in Seattle. Met mamas who are crunchier than I am. It was a nice change of pace. We will definitly go back next month.
Had pho with Melissa. FANTASTIC!!! This could pose a large financial problem. Uh oh.
Spent a large part of yesterday with MIL because Ben fell asleep in the car after pho and had half the nap he should have had. But thankfully, going over there almost always fixes everything. I had an almost-nap in her porch swing while she and Ben played in the sand box. Ahhhh. Grandmas rock.
My own mom gets major points for monitor-sitting so we could go see Juno. Ben woke up JUST as we walked in the door, but she didn't know we'd gotten home, so I ran into her sleepy self standing on the stairs, wondering why/how the crying had stopped.
The weather has been a dream and a half. Seriously, low 70s. This is perfection. I don't want it hotter. I don't want it colder. I want it to stay in the low 70s forever and ever and ever. The flox (sp?) are blooming and the grass is green and we can go to the park and play outside without needing a coat or gobs and gobs of sunscreen. We are happy.
And Ben has only had one potty accident in the last two weeks. (It was poop on Monday) Including overnights! He is now in big boy underwear 100 percent of the time. And he has taken to telling me that he has to pee while we're driving, but that's OK. He's great about holding it until I can pull off and get him to a potty. Today, it was nearly 7 minutes!!! (We were in traffic on I-5 when he said something) This has been quite the adventures in bathroom exploration. We've used the restroom at: a mattress store, a Weight Watchers (during a meeting!!!) a gas station, several fast food places, a Round Table pizza place, The Bon at the mall several times (sorry, Macys) and probably a few others I've since forgotten about. Oh, the park. And the pho place, of course.
I am so very proud of him. :-)
