And today "it" was a quiet solo paddle. I revisited a place the wife and I had been to earlier in the year and enjoyed powerful quiet, and calm water. The sun was warm on my face and I am so glad I was able to be outside today. Today I took a solitary paddling trip, as some quiet time with my thoughts was definitely in order.  I ended up in a beautiful spot and had a good solid paddle.  I found some beautiful beach glass, and one large piece of broken pottery.  I also located something that, when I am done with it in a month or so, will take on significant symbolic power ( Read more... )

Today our adventures took us to Janes Island State Park.  We are both a bit achy and sore this evening, but every bit of that was well earned.  We took about a five mile paddle on the green trail, our longest so far.

This morning we went here to paddle around for a few hours, and had a great time.  This, after playing around with 2 friends for several hours on Friday night figuring out exactly how to negotiate the kayaks into a secure place on top of the truck, newly fitted with its carrying rack.

Went paddling today up in Delaware, and had a fantastic time.  It was too windy and the water was too choppy to take the canoe out, so I went out alone in the little kayak.  Came across a quiet little secluded creek, where the water was calm enough for me to snap a few photos.
