Baby and Mom are in good health. Labor and delivery was short and rushed and scary in a couple places. We'll be at the hospital for a couple of days and then back home on Thursday. I'll post more later in the week.

Well, the house is starting to look like a third person might be living here shortly. The nursery is mostly together, and could in fact house a baby at this time. We've got a few finishing touches and a little bit of organizing to do and the custom-made glider/ottoman set arrives on Tuesday. Had our weekly appointment at the obstitrician's today. Baby to doing okay--today's ultrasound indicated that it's starting to breath now, exercising its lungs in the womb. Andrea, however, has started showing signs of preeclampsia (pregnancy-related high blood pressure), so they ordered up some tests and put her on bed rest. We go back in tomorrow ( Read more... )

We're at 32 weeks as of today. Went to Mayo this morning with Andrea for a late pregnancy ultrasound check. We now know the sex definitely. baby is in the 50th weight percentile or about 4 1/2 pounds. Everything checked out good except one abnormal indicator. We've been having a little trouble finding stuff that fits into the dragons/castles/fanatasy theme that we wanted for the baby's room--plenty of african animal, farm animal, baseball, ocean life, butterfly, etc. themes, but no dragons.
