So, today started off by, ( AN running in, crying her eyes out... )

... was a replay of yesterday. Everyone I came across was nice, or reasonable at least, but little by little, my patience eroded away in the ocean of questions I have to answer, e-mails I have to respond, and work stuff in general. It was just too damn much.... Well, another day another dollar.

So um... last week, we found out that UCSD and the union finally agreed on something about the temporary laid offs. Yesterday morning, we had a meeting about it. Someone from HR even said that they have a signed agreement with the union (and I have absolutely no reason what so ever to think that this person would lie ( Read more... )

On this particular day, KC looked out the window of our office onto the grass field and asked, "What's all the chickens doing out there?"

"Chickens? What chickens?" I asked.

He pointed to the lawn. Lo and behold, there're no less than 10 large crows (ravens?) out there pecking the ground...

Chickens, ravens, same difference.
