Life lately
So yeah, life's been good lately. I saw lots of animals:
1) 2 hummingbirds fluttering around each other and flowers, then swooped dangerously close to my head
2) super scrawny little squirrel at the park on sunday. I had the urge to grab it and run home with it, then I remembered it's probably a rabid flea bag.
3) 1 fluffy black cat at work on monday. It responded to my lil cat call, but doesn't want to be close to me. I suppose it's a good thing for ferals to want to keep a lil distance from the humans so the crazies can't nab them.
I've been doing lots of walking on the weekend (everyday, actually). This old, Indian man and I have seen each other a few times. On Sunday, he asked me, "Are you Indian?" Dude, WTF?? O_o I've been mistaken for a lot of things before - Malaysian, Laotian, Viet, Thai, Pinay, even Mexican (you see the pattern?) - but Indian is a first. What's next?
The bus driver on 30 was rude today, so I wrote a complaint on his stupid fat ass. Since I dished out so much negativity, I finally got my shit together and wrote a letter of compliment about the regular shuttle driver. My shuttle driver is freaking awesome. He's cute. He always says hi/good morning/have a good day/take care. He always have a smile on his face. He's a good driver. And oh, he's cute. XD
I finally got my passport renewed. Should have it in the next 5-6 weeks. Now I have to buy the plane ticket. Ouch.
It seems like I'm gonna get a 8% pay cut rather than a furlough. Reason being that a 8% pay cut can be easily implemented across the board. Whereas a furlough will cause issues for hospitals, professors, and cause other service issues. Lame.
Oh well, such is life. At least I still have a job.
