Go figure, everytime I try to access my LJ account the internet cafe blocks it...until today! Georgia...interesting place. Full of superstitions, crazy gender rules and relations and a language that could double as an alien alphabet. Just a quick note to let you know I made it to Staging fine! The experience has been great thus far and I'll be able to finally breath when I finally make it into Georgia on Saturday morning. There's an 8 hr time difference so that should be fun! The first three days are a recovery period and then our host families scoop us up!
In true Floridian style, weather during hurricane system is quite...erratic. Needless to say, I'm scheduled to depart Orlando Tues morning, which coincides with the arrival of Tropical Storm Alberto. Oh Florida, your such a tease!http
That's right dear readers, I'm moving to Georgia- the country not the state! June 12 I take off for a two day orientation and then ship out to the former Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic. Man oh man, I think I'm in love! It's a beautiful country situated between Russia and Turkey and alongside the Black Sea. The vacation possibilities are endless

After a tense couple of weeks I finally got medically cleared for Peace Corps service. Till today, there was a very strong possibility that I wasn't going to be allowed to serve until late winter, but thank goodness that's not the case anymore! Besides everyone knows all the cool countries have programs leaving in the summer :P
It's official- I graduate in less than one month!!! Regarding PC, my medical status is still in limbo so I don't know which country I've been assigned to yet- though I have my suspicions. If all goes as planned I should be getting my invite within the next couple of weeks so I just have to hang in there a bit longer. In the meantime I've been

Ok it's been a really busy couple of days and this is the first access to the internet I've had in a while. 36 hours after leaving orlando we arrived in San Antonio. It's my first time here and it's really has exceeded my expectations. Enroute to TX we drove through Biloxi and New Orleans. Wow. I've been through my fair share of really horrific
