Ratings System Explained

Doing some upkeep and categorization. Planning ahead. I've decided to use the torchwood_house ratings system for my fic, so I thought it would be a good idea to post it here so I could link to it when I post fic, or anything else that needs a rating.

Ganked entirely from my post at Torchwood House, I give you the

Torchwood House Ratings System
The credit for this system goes entirely to demotu since she created it and these are her descriptions.

Open - A fic with absolutely no swearing, no innuendo, no violence, and no dark themes would be open.

Standard - A fic with a normal amount of swearing, references to violence and/or sex and/or dark themes (by which I mean, say, child abuse) would be standard.

Mature - A fic with violence and/or sex and/or dark themes, but that doesn't go into explicit detail would be mature. A fic with all three would be labeled "mature (sex), mature (themes), mature (violence)". Can be mixed with similar tags for explicit.

Explicit - A fic with detailed violence and/or sex and/or dark themes, where it's "on-screen", detailed and explicit would be explicit. A fic with all three would be labeled "explicit (sex), explicit (themes), explicit (violence)". Can be mixed with similar tags for mature.
