I really love finding good deals on things. $9 for a tub of Duplos for Rowan's birthday--would have been $25 new. $4 for a Christmas gift for a friend's daughter--would have been $15 new. So I went to Dollar Tree the other day and bought a bunch of stuff to (hopefully) keep Rowan entertained on the plane. It's two three-hour flights each Saturday. We've decided to call our doc and ask about getting Rowan seen/medicated for reflux. She wakes up sounding hoarse every morning, she refuses to nurse and arches her back and screams, she spits up not just milk but mucous (and spitting up makes her scream as well), she's "forgotten" how to nurse to sleep at night and only falls asleep upright ( ( Read more... )

Today I woke up around 9:15 and got my mom and sister up. Well, maybe I crawled in bed with them and let them feel the baby kick and THEN we got up. :) We (mom, aunt, Miranda, Bear, and I) had scrambled eggs with veggies, cinnamon rolls from a can, and strawberries for breakfast. So we got up at 8 a.m., stripped the sheets off our bed, moved the mattress and the frame (it's a platform bed) into the library/nursery, moved boxes and etc. out of our bedroom, and Bear vacuumed. Now it's 11:22 and we're still waiting on Ikea to deliver our new bed (between 8 a.m. and noon). Once they do we can shower and go get some lunch ( Read more... )

So since my last post I did shower and go to Earth Fare, where we got the coconut-milk yogurt (haven't tried it yet) and some of the ice cream, too. Then I left Bear at home and went to Walmart, where I got two identical pairs of size 12 petite khaki slacks.
