So we got up at 8 a.m., stripped the sheets off our bed, moved the mattress and the frame (it's a platform bed) into the library/nursery, moved boxes and etc. out of our bedroom, and Bear vacuumed. Now it's 11:22 and we're still waiting on Ikea to deliver our new bed (between 8 a.m. and noon). Once they do we can shower and go get some lunch somewhere. In the meantime we're kind of stuck. I don't want to be showering off the same room they'll be moving the new bed into! :p

We bought a king-size mattress and two half-king box springs at Ikea on Thursday night, and then yesterday we went to Macy's (had a gift card) and bought two sets of king-size sheets. Bear's parents are giving us the bed frame from their guest room--they're coming to visit the weekend of the 24th, so the mattress and box spring will just have to be on the floor for a few weeks--not a big deal. (If they weren't giving us a frame, we could have gotten legs that would attach to the box spring and lift the bed off the floor.)

The only problem we've run into is that our quilt my aunt made and our down comforter are queen-size. We do have a king-size cotton comforter, but it is the UGLIEST THING EVER, and the only reason we've kept it through move after move is that Bear is attached to it. Well, at least we have something, right?

So, our new sheet sets (which were cheaper than buying sheets and no pillowcases) came with king-size pillowcases, and we do need to replace our pillows, so do we get king-size pillows this time around? I like to change my pillowcase every time I wash my hair, which is every second day or so, and we'd run out of pillowcases pretty darn quick if we only had the new king-size pillowcases--whereas I've got quite a stash of regular-size pillowcases, because I'm weird like that. But I hate to have four king-size pillowcases we wouldn't use or that would look too weird on a regular pillow.

Wow, my life is exciting, isn't it? :p

I have a cold and am drinking copious quantities of hot tea and water and taking a couple packets of Emergen-C every day. I tried to nap yesterday but couldn't breathe very well, so it wasn't very restful.

Yesterday we had a staff meeting. I didn't know it was the birthday of one of the teachers, and her co-teacher brought a cake; I brought donuts to the meeting, and I'm the only one who wanted donuts in place of cake. (I don't like red velvet cake and I'd been craving donuts.) Anyway, so I might have had four Entenmann's donuts for breakfast yesterday. :p I've been craving sweet, carb-y stuff like donuts and cream cheese muffins and chocolate croissants. Supposedly a craving for sweets means your body needs more protein but I'm actually wondering if I just need more calories.

Baby is kicking away in there, though, so I figure s/he is fine. I had a vivid dream that baby was a girl--she was showing me her foot and her girly parts through a resealable slit in the uterus--I know, I know, my dreams are nuts.
