I wrote this last week and didn't post it, whoops.

My brain is being loud and anxious for no real reason and I haaaaaate it.

Work is in that horrible 'EVERYTHING NEEDS TO BE WRAPPED UP BEFORE FRIDAY, ARGHHHHH' phase, where stuff gets dumped on the admins because people haven't actually pulled their fingers out earlier. It's infuriating.

My sleep is fuuuuuucked and it's driving me slightly nuts. I wake every half an hour, just enough to disrupt my deep or REM sleep. I reckon it's POTS, but can I get my GP to consider a diagnosis? Nope, just prescribe more sleeping tablets!

We went to the races on Saturday! We've not been to the Rowley Mile since October 2019, so it was quite cool to be back. I was a bit like 'O_O MANY PEOPLE' at first, but it was actually not that busy for the Cambridgeshire meeting on a Saturday and I did settle into things after a bit.

I complain about the heat in ONE post, and suddenly we have rain for a fortnight. FFS, gods of the weather. We were meant to be having a beach day this week with my team from work, but we're having to postpone. Messing with my schedule, yo, I am unimpressed.

So. I only found out that Administrative Professionals Day was a Thing a few years ago when I became an EA at my last company. It's meant to recognise the work of secretaries, EAs, PAs, admin assistants, receptionists, and other support professionals, and they usually are given cards, flowers, lunches, that sort of thing.  It's celebrated in a ( Read more... )

I have literally just finished painting my nails and one of them is chipped. How. WTF.
