The fourth episode of the final season of Merlin aired tonight in the US. Following last week's episode involving Uther's ghost, this one also touched on Uther's death, bringing Odin (the man who killed Uther) back into Arthur's sphere. The third episode of season five aired on SyFy Friday night, but as I was out enjoying a night of local theater (a cabaret night of Broadway standards to raise money for the Sandy Hook School Fund), I didn't watch it til this evening. Since the episode is called "The Death Song of Uther Pendragon," it's no surprise that Anthony Head guest-stars.

I still have to thank all of my British friends, who despite having seen this season in its entirety already have not spoiled it at all for me. Each episode is coming to me fresh, with no real idea of what's going to happen. That's an enjoyable feeling. Watched the premiere of Merlin's final season tonight. Of course, the entire season has run its course in the UK and probably other places in the world. There's a used bookstore two blocks up from my hotel. I noticed it when I walked up to Radio Shack last night to buy a new power cord for the laptop. It looks shabby when you first walk in, and things are a bit scattered, but the staff is really nice. For about $20 I found:

Well, the class here in Chicago went well. 39 people all told, quite a few who were here almost 4 years ago when I left the wireless microphone on while at the urinal in the men's room across the hall.  We had a good laugh, talking about it and filling other people in on it.
