1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
Ahaha, Jack. I love him. Why? BECAUSE HE'S AWESOME xD. Okay, on a more serious note: I like him in Doctor Who s1 because he brings some fun and wit into the show - Nine and Rose are great, but they're both so extremely good and not at all vain or self-important or whatever. Jack's introduced in an episode where he almost kills off all of humanity because he wanted to make some profit. EXTREMELY COOL.

In DW s3, he's awesome, too, because he has these great dynamics with Ten. I thought his role of the broken but undefeated freak of nature chained up in the basement a little over the top, but he did pull it off with grace, so that's okay.

Also, I mean, he's bi. And great to look at. What's not to like?

2) Is he/she important to the general plot?In DW, hmm... depends. Of course when he shows up, he's given a role in the plot, but since he's a side character in DW, he's not such a major factor where the general ( ... )

Oh, *facepalm*. I'm sorry. I counted Torchwood with Doctor Who. You know what, you'll get both! :D

IANTO:

1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
Hee, this will probably not be what you'd like to read. Because I don't really have an opinion about Ianto. The two of us just don't click at all. I'm still waiting for him to do something that would justify his being a full member of the Torchwood team. So, I don't dislike him, but I don't particularly like him, either. He's just... there, you know.

2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Mostly, he isn't. He has his moment in Cyberwoman ;).

3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
As I said, no. Sorry. There are these two or three moments in Captain Jack Harkness when you can see that he's worried about Jack, and those are the only moments that I could relate to Ianto. But other than that? Not really.

REMUS

1) What is your opinion of this character? If you like, explain why you like him/her. Likewise if you dislike the character.
I guess I like him. I liked him in the books. Of the four Marauders, I like him best.

2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Uh, I thought he was. He's important in book 3, because he gives Harry the first connection back to his past and his parents. But since JKR killed him off so unceremoniously in book 7, I guess he didn't play as big a role as I thought he did. [<= spoiler book 7]

3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
Hmm. I guess, a little. I never really found my character in HP, not until book 7 when JKR expanded Dumbledore's character (and I'm not only talking about the gay thing ;) ). But Remus was always one of the characters I could relate to better than to others. Although I never really got the werewolf angst, so that's a problem I have with him.

YAY MASTER! He's awesome. I've always had a weakness for batshit crazy megalomaniac good-looking evil overlords. John Simm does a really good acting job. Also, he looks extremely cool in the black suit.

Have I ever felt the need to convert humans into homicidal robots, bring them into the past and make them slaughter all of mankind? Not... particularly. But I do get why he does what he does. In a very weird and twisted way, it makes sense.

Aww, Malcolm ♥. My first fandom love! *gets all nostalgic*

I like him because he tries so hard! To be the important military officer his dad wants him to be, to be the brilliant tactical officer of humanity's first warp 5 capable ship, to be the awesome and great lover Trip deserves (NOT CANON BUT IT MIGHT JUST AS WELL BE xD). And he's not doing so bad, either, only that he doesn't see it. That's endearing.

2) Is he/she important to the general plot?
Sometimes? He was certainly important to the general plot of all fic I ever wrote or read, lol ;).

3) Can you relate to this character at all? Do they grip you emotionally?
I guess, yeah. He has an emo streak which I share - the fear of not being good enough. But I'm a lot less earnest than him. Still, there's a connection. There's a reason, after all, why I love him so much :D.

FRASE! Course I like him. Who wouldn't? He's honest, gorgeous, nice, good-looking, fun to be around, real eye-candy, and, oh, did I mention that he's reeelly pretty? xD

I'd say he is, yeah, considering that the show is about him ;).

Fraser in Victoria's Secret? SO SAD OMG. And in Call of the Wild. So, yeah, I guess I can relate to him. Even though I can relate better to Ray K, but I guess most people feel that way (Fraser's just too perfect to compare yourself to him! :D).

4) How much do you like the fandom that this character comes from?
Due South is one of the nicest fandoms out there. Long, brilliant fic, lots and lots of porn, nice people, almost never any wank, great organization... it's really comfortable in the Due South corner of fandom.
