I just finished the first season of Sword Art Online. It's an anime about a group of people who are trapped in a Massively Multiplayer Online game called Sword Art Online. I went on a bit of a buying spree yesterday for books and anime. I have no idea what I want to read or watch next. There are some safe book choices, like the next book of David Weber's Safehold series or the next book of Steven Erikson's Malazan Empire series, which I've read some of and know what to expect. I started watching both Noein and Claymore over the last week or so. I started Noein first as I didn't feel like watching angsty female warriors battling pseudo-vampire equivalents and angsting about the whole meaning of fighting and being female. One of the awesome things about anime is its ability to give the creators free range on their imagination without worrying about how they're going to cast and or film the sequences they dreamed up. I finished the whole of Gundam Seed Destiny. Apart from a few bits of manga, that's it for the whole Gundam Seed Universe :( In some ways I'm glad I finished it. Gundam Seed was pretty emotionally wrenching, and the sequel was no different. It was even worse in some ways, because it was even more morally grey than Gundam Seed.
