I rarely think of myself as an artist any more because I simply don't "do" art. I am bad at the creation of it and only passably good at the critique and analysis part. Remember the (in)famous eBay haunted painting?

It was painted in 1972 by artist Bill Stoneham, and while likely not haunted it is an interesting painting (note, "As I recall, both the owner of the Gallery where 'Hands' was displayed and the Los Angeles Times art critic who reviewed my show were dead within a year of the show").

Friday: Hairspray -- The Movie. I liked it in spite of myself. Some of the John Waters camp was eschewed in favor of Broadway camp but I still found it to be enjoyable and in fact almost cried at one point, to balance out my laughter. I realised that I have a flatbed scanner and a digital camera and a few random pieces of unposted art.

Thus begins my undying desire to prove that I am, in one form or another, an artist and worthy of my degree. I know, it's stupid. But it's how I feel. So.
