I really enjoyed these cakes. The banana bread portion was really moist and the topping was sweet and yummy. A nice twist on the traditional, and great for fall. The recipe is for one large cake, but I only wanted half, so I made 6 cupcake sized ones instead.

My friend had an 80's themed birthday party this weekend and my gift to her was that I would make the cake. Some people over at bakebakebake helped me out with the idea of a Rubik's cube cake and it actually turned out really well!

One of my coworkers has a lemon tree in their backyard, and recently they gave me a shopping bag half full with lemons!! Needless to say, I'm going to be making a lot of lemon recipes in the next couple of weeks. This bothers me none, as I looooove lemon ( Read more... )

We made our Valentine's meal at home this year, and it was great! It was also the first meal we photographed in our little studio, which we've nearly finished setting up in our new place :) The only downside is that once dinner was ready, we were soooo hungry! I made this awhile back, for a Christmas party. It was FANTASTIC. I need to make it again soon.

I dont have a "final" pic of it (where you spread with topping & sprinkle with cocoa powder) so these pics arent too pretty, but its wonderful anyway
