So, we got the sod all laid. Lotta work, that, but it looks pretty OK. Of course, this time of year the grass is mostly dormant, so we really won't know how it is until spring. So yesterday we started in on the worst of the worst of our house painting project. The trim work around the soffits. Lots of up high, over the head, awkward pose painting. Our feeling is that we DREAD this part of the project, so doing it first and getting it out of the way means it's all downhill from here ( Read more... )

Also... Chore Wars is very amusing. bfly has found an excellent way to motivate my inner (and outer) geek. And to just plain keep track of who's done what.

Well that was really nice. bfly and I went to B&N with a couple of friends, for the purpose of writing. Well, she went to read, while we three wrote. I pumped out about 1,500 words on A Natural History of Gryphons, which I posted over on stoda_writes.

I think we're going to make a weekly thing of this, which is good. I need to get writing again.
