Well, yesterday's Blessing of the Bikes was very nice, and pretty darn moving. The ride there was nice, and we took a little time to ride some more aftewards - went up to the Triangle grocery and got some skim milk, then stopped off at Coffee at Dawn for... well... coffee. C@D's has become sort of a biker hangout, mostly for the sportbike and metric crowd, and we pulled in next to a new model Triumph.
Damn I look good. :p
We paused at the 'foot of the hill' (aka the start of South 14, (aka 337)) to pay our respects to officer James McGrane, murdered in the line of duty. The
outpouring of offerings there is really touching... and I had to grin at the can of Skoal someone had left. It's very... primitive and wonderful. They're still trying to catch Michael Paul Astorga, who is believed responsible, and possibly still in the area. They've made a couple of arrests of people believed to have harbored him after the shooting.
Despite GREAT desire to do otherwise, we motored on home and got to work on the living room again. I finished up the texturing work on the spot I'd had to do some plaster patching & filling, then primed & painted the shelves. We both primed the remaining walls, then painted them. We're DONE! YAY! FINALLY!
