Mowed the front yard, then
bfly and I installed an A/C vent into the converted garage, now game room. Hot, dusty, hot, sweaty, hot, messy, itchy work.
The dogs spend much of the day in there, or else Roudy will be an idiot and fence-fight with every dog around us, and since there are dogs on all three sides... he stays busy. And if Lionel's out there with him, they just egg eachother on. However, without an A/C vent it was getting really hot in there, so instead they spent much of their time shedding around the house. I suspect they still will, but it'll make the game room a lot nicer for everybody.
I've noticed a few relatively new folks on my friends list were suprised by this, so I'll say something about it. I do
National Novel Writing Month every year, and have since 2003. And I've made the 50,000 words in 30 days goal, every time. The first three books are
available for reading, on the condition you make some sort of honest commentary. The fourth one was burned at the stake. There were parts of it worth saving, but on December 1 the flamethrower removed about 35kw, and the remnants are pretty fragmented.
Ahhhhh, feels so much better after a shower.
bfly went off to get groceries, and called me on the cell to tell me about a rainbow. Gorgeous, full bow, against dark clouds. I imagine folks driving by on our quiet little street were bemused by me standing there admiring it.
Of course, they're also generally bemused (or amazed, or confused) by my use of the
reel mower, too. :P
