Today has been a wonderfully geeky day. The roommate and I have decided that this weekend is going to be Writer's Weekend in which we both try to finish SOMETHING story-related by Sunday night and cheer each other on/provide beta-reading services until then. Believe it or not, I am secretly a perfume junkie. I LOVE perfume and good-smelling things in general.

I am also a Star Trek fan.

It should come as no surprise, then, when I say I want this with the burning passion of 10000 suns. *giggles*

Apparently my Web Design teacher, who's a basketball coach, father of three little boys and otherwise your standard-issue Manly Man (tm), has an irrational love for boy bands. Typical of my life as a geek:

After watching the last few episodes of Lost Season 2, I get to go sleep in the computer room at my aunt's house. With a schitzophrenic computer that turns itself on every few hours or so with a series of disconcerting beeps, forcing me to turn the damn thing off again repeatedly.

Today has been a Very Good Day, for the simplest of reasons.

It's raining, which is fantastic. Things have been bone-dry here, and I miss the bad weather. And I was listening to U2's song Electrical Storm when the clouds broke, which made it even better.
